Non-Corrosive

Our workers like Beet Juice because it doesn’t burn their hands like calcium chloride and doesn’t shrink or destroy their leather shoes or gloves. The cost of operation is much better since it doesn’t rust out the service trucks like calcium chloride did. The faster everyone switches to Beet Juice, the better for the dealer, user and environment. We have piles of new rims for our customers since the calcium and magnesium chlorides rust out the metal. That doesn’t happen with Beet Juice.

Safe Silage Packing

We really like using Rim Guard Beet Juice in the silage packing tractors because it's good weight for these tractors and we have some weighing in at 80,000 pounds. Because it is safe for livestock, it’s not going to hurt anything if there is a leak or blow-out. The cattle could still eat the silage and that could never be done with calcium chloride because it’s so toxic. Also, calcium chloride is hard on cement. Calcium leaks would destroy the concrete on the feed pads.

We also put Beet Juice into the loaders that are used in commodity sheds to feed cattle for the same reasons, plus Beet Juice greatly increases the stability of the feed tractors while pulling loaded feed wagons.

Environmentally Friendly

I had blisters on my hands working with calcium chloride. It cleared up after switching to Rim Guard Beet Juice. I no longer sell the calcium chloride. I serviced 30 of an orchard’s tractors to remove calcium chloride and fill them back up with Beet Juice for environmental reasons. Farmers like it because it washes right off if there is a leak.

PRESERVES RIMS

When Rim Guard says that Beet Juice is non-corrosive, they are correct! One thing we have noticed is the time that it saves in servicing a tire. We have seen many times where Beet Juice was installed in tubeless tires with direct contact to rims that are practically bare metal or even lightly rusted. Years later after the tire is removed, the rim is clean and free of the need for any kind of maintenance. We simply wash the rim with a little bit of water it is now ready for a tire. There is no time wasted on chipping away scaly rust or the dreadful wire brush on a grinder which every tire guy hates.

HEAVY HITTER

Rim Guard Beet Juice is the heaviest non-corrosive tire fill option. When people load their tires, they want the most weight possible. As an example, windshield washer fluid is 30% lighter than Beet Juice. Comparing the same number of gallons of each, they are getting 30% more weight with Beet Juice. We live in hilly terrain and filling tires with Beet Juice puts the weight lower than if you had iron weights bolted on the wheel. It makes the tractor much more stable, which is very important when working on side hills.

Increased Sales

Farmers know about the weight-difference advantage. Beet Juice gave our business a super boost to service sales. I also saved a large amount of money since we no longer have equipment and truck damage.

BETTER THAN CALCIUM CHLORIDE

When you compare Beet Juice to calcium chloride, calcium kills grass and rusts out rims and Beet Juice will not. Beet Juice is non-toxic to animals, which is something you can’t say about calcium. If you were transporting Beet Juice and a spill occurred, you would not have to worry about it causing any environmental damage because it is environmentally safe. On top of that, installation of Beet Juice is easy and a big improvement over calcium chloride, because there is no mixing required, which saves time. When you are mixing calcium, your skin is exposed to the product and that is very hard on your skin, clothes and equipment . . . and if you have a cut on your hand, you will know it!

MORE GREEN WITH A GREEN PRODUCT

We have seen an increase in sales due to Rim Guard Beet Juice being a green product. Customers love the idea. In addition, we’ve found that Beet Juice is less to or equal in cost than chloride by the time you add labor to mix. Rim Guard is also an easy company to work with.

No Problem Punctures

Since 1996, everyone has been happy with Beet Juice. It cleans up easy and doesn’t destroy the lawns if there is a puncture. Since it doesn’t rust the trucks, I get much more service life.

WORKS IN ALL KINDS OF TIRES

We have used Rim Guard Beet Juice in about every kind of agriculture and construction tire that we have run across. In agriculture, we have put it in the back tires of combines that are running the bigger corn heads to help keep the back end from bouncing. Of course, tractors benefit, too, by increasing their traction and stability.

For construction equipment, it works great in scraper tractors, skid steers, and large forklifts. It’s also good for smaller tires. We have good response with the local implement dealers with the smaller utility tractors. Beet Juice makes a small loader tractor efficient. Most of our implement dealers have us install Rim Guard Beet Juice when they receive the tractors and include it with price of the new tractor.

SAVES TIME AND MONEY

Because Beet Juice is non-corrosive, we don’t go through many rims, which is a savings for our customers. If a rim has been damaged from calcium and needs to be replaced, it can be expensive, and some rims are hard to find or are not available. This means getting them custom made which is expensive and time consuming.

- Tom Dickerson, Townline Equipment - Plainfield, New Hampshire

SAFE FOR THE ENVIRONMENT

We load tires on big trucks that operate in environmentally sensitive areas. If they had a leak, there is no concern about harming the environment because Rim Guard is a natural product that is made from sugar beets.  We even provide these customers with Rim Guard brochures to carry on their trucks in case they have a leak and need to explain what is in their tires.

Safe for Livestock

I love that it is safe to handle for people and safe around livestock. I have beet juice in all four tractors. Beet Juice Ballast is also heavier than calcium chloride and it cleans up easy.

GET A FOOT IN THE DOOR

Before Rim Guard, I did very little service at the many local equipment dealers in my area. Once I got my foot in the door selling Beet Juice, my sales are up considerably from not only ballasting tires on new tractors but now I also get referrals for flat repair work from all the equipment dealers around me. Today sales are up 15% at year end because of Rim Guard and the top five customers every year are equipment dealers. Rim Guard and tire service go hand in hand.

PIECE OF CAKE

Some competitors say that Rim Guard pumps hard when it's cold. We have not experienced this as a problem. We enjoy working with Rim Guard Beet Juice. It does not hurt our hands, it doesn't ruin our gloves and boots, and it keeps the wheels clean and rust free. Especially on multi-piece wheels. Beet Juice is a huge time saver on flat repairs on equipment that is critical to get up and going fast. A leak in a tire filled with Beet Juice can usually be plugged and then repaired properly later, from the inside, when the piece of equipment has a down day.

PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT

A  lesson I learned many years ago when I first started handling Beet Juice was that many of the issues I had were self-inflicted. Rim Guard was easy to sell but a little frustrating dealing with foam and basic handling of the product. With more experience, some patience, and help from the Rim Guard staff, now it’s part of daily routine with no issues. I'm glad I stuck with it.

- Andy Connor, Freedom Tire - Arcade, New York

Denser than Calcium Chloride

I don’t have to put in as much Beet Juice to equal as much calcium chloride in weight. It’s heavier than calcium chloride and excellent with compact and subcompact tractors. No one has ever said it froze in the winter. People also like that there are no problems with spills.

EASY TO WORK WITH

I enjoy working with Rim Guard.  The employees are friendly, service oriented, and address any questions in a very timely manner.

Close Call

One day, my cell phone fell into a container of Beet Juice. I thought it was finished. But I rinsed it off and it worked. I’m still using it today.
